Microsoft’s Surface Dock is an amazing device that can transform your Surface into a desktop PC. It is highly compatible with Surface Pro, Surface Laptop, Surface Book 2, Surface Book, Surface Pro 4, and Surface Pro 3. The Surface Dock 2 can power two 4K displays at 60Hz or two 5K displays at 30Hz at once.
This device has a high-quality cable with the SurfaceConnect trademark for data transmission. But it does enable faster charging for any Surface device in Microsoft’s current portfolio. It has a total power delivery of 199W and 120 of those watts can charge your Surface device.
In addition to the fleet of USB-C ports, the Dock 2 has an Ethernet jack, a headphone port, two USB Type-A ports, and a Kensington lock. Unlike the Surface Dock 2, the Travel Hub plugs into your Surface via the USB-C port. The remaining 79W can help charge the accessories attached to the dock.
